OpenAI has introduced a new Intelligent UI for ChatGPT, launching alongside the GPT-6 model. This update shifts the platform from text-only interactions to a visual-heavy experience, integrating interactive elements directly into the chat window. Users can now engage with clickable buttons, editable charts, and specialized calculators without leaving the conversation.

The interface generates dynamic visual content, such as flowcharts and diagrams, to explain complex topics. Product manager Aarush Selvan noted that the goal is to provide a comprehensive experience that helps users complete tasks, such as planning trips or learning technical concepts. For instance, the system can illustrate aerodynamic principles or generate personalized savings calculators.

Users retain control over the visual experience and can adjust the level of graphical content or revert to traditional text-based responses if preferred. The feature is currently rolling out globally to Pro, Plus, Business, and Enterprise subscribers. Access for free-tier and Go-plan users is scheduled to follow in a subsequent update.

This transition marks a significant evolution for AI chatbots, moving from simple text-based Q&A tools toward integrated digital interfaces. By enabling users to manipulate parameters and interact with data directly within the chat, OpenAI aims to transform how people process information, shifting the focus from reading text to performing actions.
