Binance founder Changpeng Zhao recently commented on a viral video compilation featuring 13 years of negative predictions about Bitcoin made by gold advocate Peter Schiff. The supercut includes various clips from Schiff's media appearances where he labeled the cryptocurrency a Ponzi scheme and predicted its value would drop to zero.
The video highlights that Schiff's warnings were issued while Bitcoin's price ranged from approximately $355 in 2013 to over $111 000 in 2025. In the final segment of the compilation, Schiff admits he cannot explain why Bitcoin remains at its current price levels, noting it should be significantly lower.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin was trading near $82 500. While Schiff continues to advocate for gold and remains skeptical of digital assets, Changpeng Zhao has previously suggested that Bitcoin could surpass gold in market value during the next cycle.
