Cerebras Systems, founded in 2015 by Andrew Feldman, specializes in wafer-scale computing for AI workloads. The company bypasses traditional chip cutting by building processors directly on silicon wafers. This infrastructure is currently being scaled to meet rising demand for AI compute.

In May 2026, Cerebras completed an IPO, raising $5,5 billion. The company has secured a multiyear contract with OpenAI to deploy 750 megawatts of its systems between 2026 and 2028. Additionally, the firm launched its fourth-generation CS-4 infrastructure in August.

The company is expanding its physical capacity to support AI development. As of August, Cerebras reported over 600 megawatts of data center capacity either operational or contracted for delivery by the end of 2027. Manufacturing capacity is also set to increase tenfold in 2026.

Cerebras plans to launch its first European data center capacity this year, targeting 200 megawatts of capacity in the region by the end of 2027. Andrew Feldman will discuss these infrastructure challenges and the future of AI scaling at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference.
