A prominent Cardano advocate has resigned from his role as a DRep, a delegated representative responsible for voting on governance proposals. The individual stated that he is shifting his focus toward the Sui network, citing its technology and adoption as superior to those of Cardano. While he retains his ADA holdings, he noted that ADA is no longer his largest position.
This departure marks the second instance this year of a well-known Cardano figure moving toward Sui. In June, analyst Dan Gambardello redirected a portion of his holdings to Sui and expressed concerns regarding a lack of support for the Cardano community. These shifts occur amid a challenging period for the Cardano ecosystem, which has seen project closures and a decline in token value.
The Cardano Foundation is currently facing internal and external pressure. In August, CTO Giorgio Zinetti departed the organization. Additionally, the community recently rejected a 7.8 million ADA treasury proposal, which resulted in the cancellation of the planned Cardano Summit in Singapore. Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson maintains that the network's future remains positive, pointing to upcoming upgrades like Leios.
