Canada Rocket Company (CRC) is set to construct a $30 million rocket engine test facility at London International Airport in Ontario. The complex, named the Jeremy Hansen Test Facility, will occupy 50 acres leased from the local airport authority and include a 12,000-square-foot building for engineering and assembly.

The site will feature up to three vertical and horizontal test stands designed for static firing of methalox engines with over 1 MN of thrust. This infrastructure is intended to support the development of the company's reusable medium-lift launch vehicle, which aims to deliver up to 12,500 kg to sun-synchronous orbit using the E-1 engine.

The facility is scheduled to be fully operational by 2028. CRC plans to create approximately 40 skilled jobs at the site within the next 18 months. The company also anticipates that its broader launch vehicle program will generate around 1,000 jobs and attract more than $1 billion in investment over the next decade.

To support its workforce needs, CRC is establishing partnerships with Western University and Fanshawe College. The company, founded in 2025, emphasizes that the new site is a critical step toward establishing sovereign Canadian launch capability, leveraging a team with experience from SpaceX and Blue Origin.
