BYD has unveiled its new flagship seven-seater electric SUV, the Atto 8, at the Paris Auto Show. This model is the first in Europe to utilize the company's second-generation Blade Batteries and Flash Charging technology, which allows for a charge from 10% to 80% in five minutes.

The vehicle is available in two variants: the Design RWD and the Excellence AWD. The RWD model features a 115 kWh battery providing a WLTP range of 405 miles and 456 hp. The AWD version offers 764 hp, a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 4.6 seconds, and a range of 374 miles.

Measuring 5,040 mm in length, the SUV includes a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, a 26-inch head-up display, and a 2.39-square-meter panoramic roof. Interior features include leather upholstery, massage functions for front and middle-row seats, and a total cargo capacity of 1,960 liters.

Sales for the Atto 8 in Europe are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027. While official pricing remains unannounced, the model is expected to be positioned above the existing Ti 7 plug-in hybrid, which starts at approximately £47,995.
