A 50-year-old heat engineering specialist has developed a universal mobile SCADA engine using the Flutter framework and Dart language. The application is designed to manage and monitor control cabinets for block heating stations, specifically those utilizing Owen PR200 controllers.

The software architecture relies on dynamic JSON configuration files. Upon startup, the application reads a file containing system structures, sensor parameters, and Modbus register addresses, automatically generating the corresponding user interface without requiring code recompilation.

The engine supports three connectivity modes: Modbus RTU via USB-OTG for direct field connections, Modbus TCP over Wi-Fi for local wireless control, and HTTP REST API for remote integration with the OwenCloud platform, which also enables CSV data export.

The developer utilized artificial intelligence to generate Dart code, select libraries for serial port communication, and troubleshoot complex JSON parsing or Modbus timeout errors. This approach allowed the engineer to focus on system architecture and logic design.

The application functions on Android devices and can be adapted for Windows laptops. While the developer created this tool to streamline commissioning and maintenance tasks, it currently remains a personal project and has not been implemented within their company.
