Bugatti has completed a series of extreme climate tests for its upcoming Tourbillon hypercar, which features a naturally aspirated V16 engine paired with three electric motors. The powertrain delivers a combined 1 800 horsepower and utilizes an 800V battery architecture. Engineers focused on managing thermal loads without altering the vehicle's exterior design.
Testing took place in Seville, Spain, where road and track temperatures exceeded 45°C. The prototype was equipped with over 200 thermocouples to monitor thermal performance. These trials followed previous validation runs in Dubai, where temperatures surpassed 50°C, and in Arjeplog, Sweden, where conditions dropped to -30°C to evaluate handling and stability in freezing weather.
The company plans to produce approximately 80 units annually at its La Manufacture facility in Molsheim. All 250 planned vehicles have already been sold. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2026, with the final unit expected to reach its owner by 2029. The starting price for the hypercar is set at €3 800 000 before taxes.
