Broadcom CEO Hock Tan confirmed that the company maintains its revenue targets for AI semiconductors, aiming for $115 billion in fiscal 2027 and $230 billion in fiscal 2028. This statement follows a 4.8% decline in Broadcom shares amid a broader market selloff triggered by concerns over AI development pace.

In the third quarter of 2026, Broadcom reported $16.7 billion in AI semiconductor revenue, marking a 221% year-over-year increase. The company also raised its full-year fiscal 2026 guidance for this segment to $58 billion, surpassing the previous target of $56 billion.

Tan identified inference demand as a primary growth driver for the company. Broadcom specializes in application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for hyperscalers like Google, Meta, and Anthropic. Projections indicate that Anthropic will become the company's largest custom-chip customer by fiscal 2027.
