British Airways has unveiled a comprehensive cabin refurbishment for its Airbus A380 fleet, marking one of the largest interior upgrade programs in the company's history. The primary focus of this update is the business class, which now occupies the entire upper deck of the aircraft.
The new business class configuration features 106 seats divided into four distinct zones, including a dedicated lounge area. The design incorporates a signature color palette of blue, red, and cream, with seats redesigned to provide additional storage space for passengers based on customer feedback.
The first class cabin has also been redesigned, drawing inspiration from luxury hotel aesthetics. Key features include adjustable partitions and retractable tables for central seats, allowing couples to create a shared dining space. Each first class seat now includes a personal mini-bar.
First class passengers will also receive updated bedding, including new mattresses, larger pillows, and blankets. The airline has revised the first class menu to offer more flexible meal combinations, featuring options such as roasted lamb chops and salmon.
Economy class passengers in the World Traveller section will benefit from wider seats, larger multimedia screens, and thicker pillows. Similarly, the premium economy World Traveller Plus cabin has been upgraded with new seating and larger displays, completing the fleet-wide modernization effort.
