BNB Chain has launched a dedicated community forum to gather feedback on the technical design of its upcoming NewL1 blockchain. The project, which aims to support trading, payments, and AI-driven workloads, is designed as a base layer with its own consensus and settlement mechanisms rather than a scaling solution.
The network will be EVM-compatible and is engineered to achieve throughput exceeding 100,000 transactions per second. Key technical goals include sub-50 millisecond preconfirmations and sub-second finality. The platform will also feature TxStream to mitigate front-running risks and include native privacy enhancements.
The existing BNB token will serve as the sole gas token for the new network, with no plans for a separate asset. A native bridge is also in development to facilitate asset transfers between the new chain and the existing BNB Smart Chain.
The forum discussion is currently focused on technical aspects such as consensus protocols and tokenomics, while speculative price discussions are prohibited. The project roadmap targets a testnet launch in late 2026, followed by a mainnet release in early 2027.
