The first production vehicle from the BMW Alpina sub-brand is currently undergoing high-speed testing at the Nardò Technical Center in Italy. The prototype, based on the updated 7 Series, features a V8 engine and was recorded exceeding 186 mph (300 km/h) during validation runs.

Technical data captured from the prototype's display indicates an output of 439 kW and 784 Nm of torque, though these figures are not yet finalized. The powertrain includes custom engine management calibration and a recalibrated transmission to prioritize smooth power delivery over aggressive performance.

The vehicle incorporates specialized 20-inch alloy wheels fitted with tires containing an additional foam layer for enhanced stability at high speeds. The exterior design retains signature elements, including a quad-exhaust system with four oval tailpipes and amber daytime running lights.

Production of the new Alpina models will shift to existing BMW manufacturing facilities, moving away from the brand's historical independent factory in Buchloe. The original site has been rebranded as Alpina Classic to support the approximately 40 000 legacy vehicles currently in existence.
