Block, a company listed on the NYSE, has initiated an advertising campaign aimed at promoting Bitcoin as a primary medium of exchange. The initiative highlights the potential for a Bitcoin-centric financial system to address current economic challenges.
The campaign features a slogan stating that while some aspects of the economy do not make sense, Bitcoin does. Promotional materials include video content showing individuals discussing the rising cost of living and government bailouts for financial institutions.
The advertisements will run across various platforms, including YouTube, X, Meta, and Instagram. Additionally, the campaign will be broadcast on Fox Sports and appear in theaters during screenings of Avengers: Doomsday and Dune 3 until December 31.
Jack Dorsey, who founded the company, shifted his focus toward payments and Bitcoin adoption in 2021. The firm currently supports Bitcoin through its Cash App, which enables buying, selling, and transfers, as well as through Square point-of-sale terminals using the Lightning Network.
