Short-term Bitcoin holders have maintained a streak of profitability for 30 consecutive days, a milestone not seen since the market peak. According to CryptoQuant, this cohort includes investors holding assets for less than six months.
As of Tuesday, the total value of Bitcoin held in profit by short-term investors reached $168,2 billion, while holdings below the acquisition price amounted to $102,6 billion. The profitability streak began on August 16.
Analysts note that this sustained period of profitability is a recurring feature of historical market recoveries, similar to the trend observed at the end of the 2022 bear market. It is considered a prerequisite for a long-term price uptrend.
The current profit trend is primarily driven by entities holding Bitcoin for one to three months, who have a realized price of $63 372. Investors holding for three to six months have a cost basis of $73 190.
Broader market indicators also reflect this strength, as the spent output profit ratio has remained above its breakeven level of 1 since August 19. Bitcoin has retained most of its 25% price increase from August.
