U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a single-day outflow of $635.6 million on Thursday. This movement erased nearly 60% of the $1.07 billion in inflows accumulated over the previous three sessions and marked the largest daily withdrawal for the month, surpassing the previous record of $484.9 million set on October 7.
The recent outflows pushed October net flows for Bitcoin funds into negative territory at approximately $176 million. Since their launch in January 2024, these funds have seen cumulative net inflows of $57.8 billion, with total net assets currently standing at $100.2 billion.
Ethereum ETFs also experienced losses, shedding $110.6 million on Thursday, which brings their total October losses to roughly $1.18 billion. Solana ETFs saw outflows of $8.9 million, totaling about $68 million in losses for the month.
Despite the significant ETF outflows, asset prices remained relatively stable. Bitcoin traded near $81,460 on Friday, while Ethereum dipped to $2,400 and Solana to $104. The total cryptocurrency market capitalization remained at approximately $2.85 trillion, with trading volume declining by 20% to $67.1 billion.
