The financing package consists of a $400 million term loan and a $50 million revolving credit facility. The round was led by J.P. Morgan, with participation from Capital One, Citi, and other lenders. According to CEO Robert Vis, the capital provides liquidity to current and former employee shareholders while allowing the company to remain private and independent.

Alongside the funding, Bird introduced Agentic Harness, a feature enabling AI agents to access the company's communications infrastructure. This tool allows agents to manage WhatsApp messages, place calls, handle emails, and secure eSIM plans on behalf of individuals or businesses. The company currently processes trillions of messages annually.

Bird plans to utilize the new capital to support its expansion into the U.S. market. The company reports that internal automation has already contributed to business growth and reduced operational costs. J.P. Morgan executives noted that the investment reflects confidence in Bird’s lean operating model and its sustained profitability.
