The Binance Scarcity Index for XRP has declined to -0.94, marking its lowest point since January 2025. This indicator measures the availability of tokens on the exchange compared to historical levels. A negative value suggests that a larger volume of XRP is currently accessible for trading, which may increase potential selling pressure on the market.
Data from CryptoQuant shows a significant reversal from July, when the index reached a two-year high of 0.77. While total XRP reserves on Binance have decreased by approximately 20% since November 2024, the remaining tokens appear to be more active. Analysts note that this shift reflects changes in supply behavior rather than total holdings.
Despite the increased availability of tokens, XRP is trading near $1.55, reflecting a 3.4% increase over the last 24 hours. The asset has gained roughly 10% in the past month and over 46% over the last year. However, market sentiment regarding a new all-time high has cooled, with prediction markets placing the probability of a record by December 31 at only 6%.
