Starting September 15 at 21:00 UTC, Binance will transition its commodity-based perpetual futures contracts to a 24/5 trading schedule. This change aligns the platform's trading hours with the traditional markets for gold, silver, crude oil, natural gas, platinum, palladium, and copper.

The restriction applies to specific pairs including XAUUSDT, XAGUSDT, CLUSDT, BZUSDT, and NATGASUSDT. Consequently, traders will be unable to adjust positions in these assets during weekends. Crypto and equity-based perpetual contracts, such as those for TSLAUSDT and INTCUSDT, will maintain their 24/7 availability.

Binance previously modified its commodity pricing mechanism on May 8, 2026. The exchange shifted from a fixed mode to an Orderbook Exponentially Weighted Moving Average strategy to better reflect recent market activity during off-hours.

The TradFi perpetual product line was originally launched by the exchange in January 2026. The current adjustment represents the latest effort to refine these offerings, following the earlier overhaul of the pricing system.
