The Russian software developer Bazis, a subsidiary of RTK-TsOD, has extended its title sponsorship of the Moscow-based robotics team Atom for a second year. This partnership supports the development of the team's new-generation robot, Atom 2.0, which has already undergone initial testing.
The engineering team spent over a year designing Atom 2.0. Key technical upgrades include replacing steel armor with aluminum panels produced via five-axis machining, implementing a tandem motor drive system, and integrating custom-developed power switches and new batteries to improve the weapon module's efficiency.
Bazis aims to leverage this collaboration to strengthen its brand identity within the engineering sector. As part of the agreement, the company's branding will appear on the robot and team gear, and Atom will serve as a brand ambassador throughout the upcoming competition season.
Beyond robotics, Bazis maintains an educational initiative titled 'DevOps Engineer from Scratch,' which currently spans 32 partner universities. Notable participants include RTU MIREA, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, UrFU, and MSTU Stankin. In 2025, the company launched a specialized IT training center at Bauman University.
According to Bazis CEO David Martirosov, the company views this support as part of its social responsibility strategy to foster engineering expertise. Atom team captain Maxim Zenkin stated that the team aims to secure a top-three finish in the upcoming 'Battle of Robots' championship.
