Tokenized versions of U.S. equities on the Base blockchain now account for approximately 7% of all decentralized exchange activity as of September 17. These digital assets, including NVDAc, AAPLc, METAc, and GOOGLc, allow users to gain exposure to traditional stocks through crypto liquidity pools.

While these tokens represent equity on-chain, the underlying shares are held in regulated custody outside the blockchain network. Recent data shows that these stock tokens have driven $125 million in trading volume on the Base platform. Additionally, deposits linked to these products have reached $7.5 million.

The growth of these assets on Base coincides with broader platform milestones, including a record total value locked of $5.7 billion. Market participants are now monitoring these developments for potential signals regarding a future Base token launch, which some analysts speculate could occur by the end of 2026.

Coinbase continues to adjust its product strategy, recently rebranding its Base app back to Coinbase Wallet. The company is also preparing to announce the next cohort of teams for its Base Batches 004 program on September 29, following a period of record application volume for the initiative.
