Baillie Gifford, an investment firm managing between $237 billion and $260 billion in assets, has introduced its Enhanced Yield Fund, known by the ticker BAGEY. This tokenized bond product was launched on June 22, 2026, through the company's digital assets division, BGDA UK.

The fund operates as an actively managed portfolio of short-duration bonds with an average credit rating of BBB and a duration of approximately two years. It consists of a mix of government and corporate debt, with shares minted directly on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains.

By September 29, 2026, the fund became available to professional investors in Switzerland, Hong Kong, and the Cayman Islands. The product requires a minimum investment of $100 and targets an annual yield of about 7 percent, with settlement options in USDC or fiat currency.

The infrastructure for custody and tokenization is managed by BitGo Bank & Trust, BNY, Anchorage Digital, and Archax. The fund performs daily calculations of its net asset value, and the blockchains serve as the primary legal register of ownership for investors.
