Avito has partnered with the Skolkovo Foundation to develop educational materials for the AI Lesson program, aimed at students in grades 1-9. The company contributed real-world case studies, including the operation of recommendation systems and the Avi AI assistant, to help students understand how digital platforms ensure user safety.
The partnership began in the spring of 2026, when Avito experts helped create materials for primary schools and conducted pilot sessions at the Skolkovo International Gymnasium and the Skolka school. To date, 4,890 students and 280 teachers across 47 Russian regions have participated in the program.
In September 2026, the curriculum was expanded to include ninth-grade materials and new practical tasks. The program is available free of charge to schools nationwide. Students in grades 5-6 learn to use AI for information retrieval and image generation, while grades 7-9 focus on machine learning, generative models, and data analysis.
The program also incorporates expertise from a leading Chinese university, blending Russian and Chinese educational approaches to AI. The curriculum emphasizes AI literacy, responsible technology use, and digital safety, teaching students how to identify errors in AI responses and interact securely in online environments.
