Aviloo, an EV diagnostics company, analyzed the battery health of 20 popular electric vehicle models. The study spanned most continents, including North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, and was conducted between 2022 and 2026.
The company performed over 500,000 battery health tests. The analysis focused on battery capacity retention after 50,000 km, 100,000 km, and 150,000 km of usage.
Most tested models retained approximately 95% of their original battery capacity after 50,000 km. By 150,000 km, the capacity of most vehicles typically fell into the lower 90% range.
Some vehicles showed minimal loss of capacity even after 150,000 km, while others experienced a loss of about 20% after 100,000 km.
