ASML reported total net sales of €32.7 billion for the 2025 fiscal year, with net income reaching €9.6 billion, a 16% increase compared to the previous year. Despite these results, the EMEA region accounted for only 1.6% of total revenue, amounting to €524 million. The Netherlands, where the company is headquartered, contributed €4.7 million, or approximately 0.014% of total sales.

The company's primary markets are located in Asia and the United States. China was the largest market in 2025 with €9.5 billion in sales (29%), followed by Taiwan with €8.3 billion (26%), South Korea with €8.2 billion (25%), and the US with €4.1 billion (13%). ASML expects its revenue share from China to decrease to approximately 20% in 2026.

ASML leadership attributes the low European sales to a lack of advanced chip fabrication facilities in the region. While the European Chips Act of 2023 aims to increase Europe's share of global semiconductor production to 20% by 2030, current sales data indicates limited demand for lithography equipment. New projects by Intel in Germany and TSMC in Dresden are intended to address this gap.

Export restrictions imposed by the US prevent ASML from supplying its most advanced extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography systems to China. Consequently, the company is restricted to providing older deep ultraviolet (DUV) technology to that market. Growth in 2025 was primarily driven by global demand for EUV systems used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
