Ascon and the Lazurit Central Design Bureau have signed a cooperation agreement to test the new Digital Shipbuilding Platform. The software will be evaluated using data from the Project 125 shuttle tanker, which is designed for transporting crude oil in Arctic conditions.

The platform is designed as a secure environment for end-to-end automation of design and production processes. It allows project participants to work with a unified digital model that includes 3D geometry, material data, cost estimates, labor intensity metrics, and equipment specifications.

During the testing phase, Lazurit specialists will focus on evaluating the platform's hull design tools. The company plans to release the final version of the solution in 2027. This initiative aims to support the transition of the domestic shipbuilding industry to Russian-made software.

Lazurit already utilizes Ascon products, including Kompas-3D for 3D modeling and engineering documentation, as well as Pilot-ICE Enterprise for managing electronic archives and tracking labor costs at its St. Petersburg branch.
