Chicago-based cloud startup Argentum AI is currently in negotiations to secure $5 billion in debt financing. The company intends to use these funds to purchase additional graphics processing units for its data center located in Poland.
The facility in Bielsko-Biała, developed in partnership with DL Invest Group and Boosteroid, was established through a $2.5 billion agreement signed in May 2026. The site is designed to support thousands of GPUs, including Nvidia GB300 systems.
According to reports, the proposed debt is intended to finance hardware leased to customers without investment-grade ratings. To mitigate potential risks, the company cites a secured order book representing more than $12 billion in contracted revenue.
Argentum AI, led by CEO Andrew Sobko, also maintains a partnership with Super Micro Computer for large-scale GPU deployments. The company is currently in ongoing talks with an unnamed private credit firm, and no final deal has been confirmed.
The move follows recent industry activity, such as the $3.5 billion financing facility secured by rival firm Nebius from Citi. Private credit firms are increasingly providing capital for hardware-heavy projects that traditional banks may avoid.
