Finnish defence technology startup Arctic RAVN has secured €2.5 million in loan commitments. The financing round, which closed in October 2026, exceeded the company's initial target by 25 percent. The capital was raised through a convertible loan instrument, allowing investors to convert debt into equity in the future.

Founded in 2025 within the Finnish Defence House venture studio, the company focuses on manufacturing drone electronics, including flight controllers, motors, and electronic speed controllers. All production and assembly take place in Finland, utilizing components sourced exclusively from Europe and NATO-allied nations to reduce reliance on Chinese supply chains.

The startup has already invested over €1 million to scale the production of its electronic speed controllers. The company aims to manufacture tens of thousands of these units before the end of 2026, with a significant portion already reserved by undisclosed European defence industry clients.

Arctic RAVN is currently expanding its manufacturing capabilities to support industrial-level output. The company has set a long-term production target of up to two million circuit boards annually, which would establish it as a major supplier of drone electronics within the European market.
