Apple introduced Siri Recap, an ambient listening tool for Apple Watch that creates high-level notes of conversations. Apple Intelligence generates a title, summary, and key points from the conversation, which users can review in the Siri app.
The company also launched audio intelligence features including Shazam for instant song identification and a system to recognize loud sounds such as alarms, sirens,residents, doorbells, or a baby crying to notify users.
A new Live Rewind feature allows users to double-press the digital crown to recap the last 15 seconds of a conversation. These recaps are end-to-end encrypted.
Apple stated that Siri Recap does not identify speakers and does not store recordings. Raw audio remains inaccessible, though the company noted that users can choose to keep the feature always on, set a schedule, or disable it entirely.
