Apple has unveiled an updated Apple TV 4K featuring integrated far-field microphones for Siri AI voice control. The remote control now includes a built-in speaker to assist in locating it, and it supports Bluetooth Channel Sounding for precise tracking via the Find My app on iPhone.
The device is powered by the A19 chip, enabling native Siri AI capabilities. Users can interact with the assistant using natural language. Responses are displayed on-screen rather than through audio, appearing in full-screen mode for content searches or text bubbles for general queries.
The new model is priced at $299, which is $50 more than the previous top-tier version. It retains 128 GB of storage, an Ethernet port, and support for Thread and Matter protocols, while adding Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity.
Pre-orders for the device have already commenced, with retail availability scheduled for November 13. The system allows for immersive audio setups by connecting up to four HomePod second-generation or HomePod Mini 2 speakers.
