Apple has introduced a new Apple TV 4K streaming device, priced at $299. The hardware features an upgraded A19 chip designed to support new artificial intelligence capabilities, including content discovery and personalized recommendations through the updated Siri AI.
The device is equipped with three far-field microphones, enabling users to issue voice commands directly without needing a remote control or a paired HomePod. Additionally, the system supports a four-speaker surround sound configuration when paired with HomePod 2 or HomePod mini 2 speakers.
The updated remote control now includes a built-in speaker to assist users in locating it if misplaced. This feature complements existing search tools like Find My, which previously relied on visual directions rather than audible signals.
The launch follows a four-year gap since the previous Apple TV 4K model released in 2022. Reports indicate that the release was originally targeted for 2024 but was postponed due to development delays regarding the AI-powered Siri integration.
Pre-orders for the new Apple TV 4K are available starting October 13, 2026. The device is scheduled to be available for purchase on November 13, 2026.
