Pre-orders for the new Apple iPhone Duo began on October 16 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time and sold out within minutes. The device, which was unveiled on September 9, is priced starting at $1,999, with the top-tier model costing $3,199.

Current online orders for the foldable smartphone are scheduled to ship in late January, meaning they will not arrive before Christmas. The top model is specifically listed for shipment on January 22. Apple continues to accept online orders despite the supply constraints.

The iPhone Duo features a 5.4-inch outer screen and a 7.6-inch matte inner display. Apple sources the folding panels from Samsung for approximately $250 per unit under an exclusive agreement. There is currently no second source for these components.

Retail sales are set to begin on October 23, and customers may attempt to purchase units in-store or reserve them for pickup starting October 24. While availability remains uncertain, analysts project that shipments of the device could grow by 70% next year.
