Tech YouTubers have conducted extreme durability tests on the new iPhone Duo, Apple's first foldable smartphone. Some videos show screen damage, device deformation, or internal structural issues when the phone is subjected to intense bending and excessive force beyond standard usage scenarios.

Despite the viral nature of these stress tests, Apple retail stores and repair centers report no widespread issues among actual customers. Employees at multiple locations state that they have not observed a significant influx of users seeking repairs or replacements for internal screen damage since the product launch.

Apple designed the iPhone Duo with a specialized hinge system, reinforced glass, and a multi-layer screen structure. The company conducted extensive cycle testing on the folding mechanism during development to ensure the device meets daily usage requirements.

Industry analysts suggest that the discrepancy between lab-based destruction tests and real-world performance is expected. While extreme tests identify physical limits, they do not simulate normal consumer behavior. Long-term durability will be better assessed as more units remain in use over time.
