Apple has initiated a compensation process for iPhone users following a class-action lawsuit regarding delays in the deployment of AI-powered Siri features. The company has agreed to a settlement totaling $250 million to resolve claims from owners of iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the entire iPhone 16 lineup.
Eligible claimants are individuals residing in the United States who purchased these devices between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. While the base payout is estimated at $25 per device, the final amount may increase up to $95 depending on the total volume of approved applications submitted by the deadline of December 21, 2026.
The lawsuit alleged that Apple marketed the iPhone 16 as being built for Apple Intelligence, yet the devices launched without the promised AI capabilities. These features were eventually introduced earlier this month via the iOS 27 update. Apple continues to deny any wrongdoing or breach of obligations regarding the initial marketing claims.
The settlement administration is being handled by Verita Global. Claimants must provide their contact details and device serial numbers on the designated website. The court hearing to finalize the settlement is scheduled for September 29, 2027, with payments expected to be distributed within 60 days following that date.
