AnySignal has entered into a partnership with Reflect Orbital to provide space-to-Earth communication services for three upcoming satellite missions. The agreement covers the initial satellite launch and two subsequent flights.
The collaboration involves the installation of AnySignal’s USX space transceivers on Reflect Orbital spacecraft. This multi-band software-defined radio integrates payload downlinks and telemetry, tracking, and command functions into a single module, which reduces the overall mass and cabling requirements.
Reflect Orbital will also implement the AnyLink software platform for ground operations. This system acts as an interface that aggregates access to various ground-station-as-a-service providers, allowing operators to connect with multiple third-party networks through one architecture.
According to the companies, this end-to-end communication solution is designed to simplify technical radio-frequency operations. By utilizing this integrated hardware and software stack, Reflect Orbital aims to focus its engineering resources on its primary mission of redirecting sunlight from orbit.
