New York-based Antioch is developing a cloud-based simulation platform for physical AI and robotics. The system allows engineering teams to create digital twins of their hardware and conduct concurrent tests in virtual environments that mimic real-world physics, reducing the need for expensive physical prototypes.

The platform specifically focuses on sensor simulation, enabling teams to generate synthetic sensor data in the cloud to validate system responses to edge cases. This approach aims to solve the "sim-to-real gap," the performance mismatch between virtual and physical environments.

The startup's client base includes Amazon's Ring, which uses the platform for drone and device development, as well as other Fortune 500 companies and major tech firms.

The company was founded by former employees of Tesla, Google, and Meta. It has now raised approximately $44.6 million in total equity funding, including a recent $32 million Series A round led by Greylock, with participation from A*, Category Ventures, Box Group, and Icehouse Ventures.
