Anthropic has introduced a three-tier structure for its Cyber Verification Program, effective October 6, 2026. This system provides security professionals with graduated access to Claude Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5, and Mythos 5.1 models for defensive and red-teaming operations.
The new access levels are categorized as Defense Access, Red Team Access, and Specialized Access. Qualified teams can expect application responses within days. The program integrates Project Glasswing, a partnership launched in April 2026 involving companies like Amazon Web Services, Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Nvidia.
Between April and July 2026, partners in Project Glasswing identified at least 129 000 software vulnerabilities, with over 33 000 categorized as high or critical severity. Anthropic’s internal scanning identified an additional 5 500 vulnerabilities through October 2026.
To support open-source security, Anthropic has allocated $100 million in usage credits and $4 million in donations. This initiative builds on the $35 million Defender Advantage Fund established by the company in August 2026.
