Anthropic, the developer of the Claude AI model, is preparing for an initial public offering in the United States. The company filed a confidential application with the SEC in June. According to market sources, the firm aims for a valuation of approximately $2 trillion and plans to raise up to $100 billion.
If these targets are met, Anthropic will surpass the $1.77 trillion valuation set by SpaceX during its IPO in June. The company expects to finalize the public offering in November, though some parameters may be adjusted following the US midterm elections. Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase are acting as lead underwriters.
The company's business model centers on the Claude language model, corporate APIs, and a cloud platform for system integration. It also offers Claude Code, a tool for repository analysis and task execution. Anthropic estimates the potential market for its products at over $30 trillion, which supports its valuation goals.
