Anthropic is preparing for a potential IPO while formalizing significant charitable commitments. The company is structured as a Delaware public benefit corporation, which allows it to balance profit goals with a public mission.

The seven co-founders, including CEO Dario Amodei and President Daniela Amodei, have pledged to donate 80% of their personal equity to charity. This commitment involves their individual holdings rather than new company shares.

The firm has established two separate research commitments of $200 million each. Additionally, it operates a charitable stock-matching program for employees, which resulted in over $660 million in non-cash expenses between October 2025 and March 2026.

Corporate contributions for 2025 reached $540 million. The company has also indicated potential future community-focused initiatives related to its data centers, which could reach a value of several billion dollars.
