Anthropic released the Claude Haiku 5.5 model on October 7, pricing it roughly 75% lower than the previous Haiku 4.5 version. The new model is designed for high-volume tasks like summarization, classification, and browser automation. For prompts up to 100,000 tokens, input costs are $0.10 per million, while output costs are $0.50, representing a 90% reduction compared to its predecessor.

Artificial Analysis assigned Haiku 5.5 a score of 43 on its Intelligence Index, an increase of 26 points over the prior model. Despite these performance gains, the company faces scrutiny regarding its potential public listing. Analysts at New Constructs have labeled the reported $2 trillion valuation target as unrealistic, noting that the company generated $4.6 billion in revenue with a $42 billion net loss in 2025.

New Constructs estimates the company's actual value at $150 billion, arguing that the $2 trillion target would require profits double those of Nvidia. The firm highlighted competition from open-source models as a significant risk to the business model. Anthropic has not yet released its official S-1 prospectus, which will serve as the primary document for verifying its financial performance and valuation claims.
