At the 2026 International Monetary Fund and World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok, Animoca Brands president Evan Auyang advocated for the integration of AI and digital ownership to expand financial inclusion.

Auyang emphasized that trust, consumer protection, and suitability must be foundational elements in regulatory frameworks. He specifically highlighted the role of regulated stablecoins and decentralized identity.

The company proposed the use of regulatory sandboxes, which allow firms to test products under supervision with limited scale. These mechanisms are intended to bridge the gap between policy discussions and practical implementation.

The session, held between October 12 and 18, included representatives from major financial institutions such as Mastercard, S&P Global, and BNY. The broader event focused on economic resilience and technological shifts.

Animoca Brands is currently developing its 'agentic web' concept, where AI agents operate autonomously using personal wallets and verified identities. The firm's current projects include Moca Network and AIR.
