Users of AMD-based systems report significant stability issues following the September Windows 11 cumulative update. The problems are linked to the installation of KB5124008 and the .NET update KB5126052, which lead to graphics driver crashes, system freezes, and monitor disconnections.

The technical issues manifest as driver timeouts shortly after installation. Even after performing a clean reinstallation of the latest AMD drivers, the system fails to respond, often requiring a forced restart. Users also report that launching the Adrenalin software causes the entire computer to freeze.

Disabling the AMD audio driver provides only a temporary workaround, as browsers can still trigger system freezes and persistent timeout warnings. Testing various older driver versions, including 26.7.1 and 26.6.4, has not mitigated the crashes for the affected users.

Attempts to resolve the situation by rolling back the Windows 11 system or reverting to the August security update KB5121003 have proven ineffective. Similarly, rolling back the .NET update to version KB5120708 did not restore system stability for those experiencing these malfunctions.
