AMD has released the Adrenalin Edition 26.9.2 optional driver update. The release focuses on adding support for several new titles, including Minecraft Dungeons 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 early access, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition 10th Anniversary patch, Gears of War: E-Day, Control: Resonance, and Valor Mortis.
The update addresses specific stability issues, such as driver timeouts on Radeon RX 7000 series cards during Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and on RX 6000 series cards in War Thunder under DX12. It also fixes an Anti-Lag 2 activation bug in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and resolves system freezing issues for RX 9000 series users in Hitman: World of Assassination.
Known issues remain, including potential installation failures for AI components in regions with restricted access to HuggingFace and GitHub. Additionally, users on Windows 10 may experience the automatic disabling of Smart Access Memory after installation. AMD notes potential crashes in Assassin's Creed: Black Flag for RX 7000 series and driver timeouts in War Thunder for RX 5000 series cards.
