AMD plans to integrate FSR 4 technology across its entire product lineup by 2026. This expansion includes APUs, gaming laptops, and handheld gaming consoles, according to Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Computing and Graphics Business Group.

The company is pursuing a dual strategy to achieve this goal. This involves both extending support for existing APUs and introducing new models designed to leverage the technology. AMD has developed a specialized version of FSR 4 specifically optimized for APU architectures.

The primary focus of this development is to balance high-quality visual performance in games with reduced input latency. This initiative follows recent industry trends, such as Sony introducing its QSSR AI upscaling technology for the standard PlayStation 5 console.
