AMD anticipates a double-digit decline in PC shipments throughout 2027. The company notes that recent market performance was hindered by rising costs for memory and other components, which dampened consumer demand.
To mitigate these challenges, AMD is adjusting its inventory management for both direct clients and distribution channels. Despite the projected market contraction, the firm aims to outperform competitors by leveraging its Ryzen product roadmap and expanding its commercial reach.
The company is shifting its strategic focus toward data centers. AMD expects revenue from server products to double, with data center solutions projected to account for 80% of total revenue by the end of 2027.
CEO Lisa Su emphasized that AMD is now primarily a data center-focused organization. While the company maintains its Ryzen strategy, the long-term business model relies heavily on the growth of its server-side infrastructure.
