AMD has officially increased the suggested retail prices for its graphics card lineup globally, effective October 1. The company implemented this pricing adjustment across both domestic and international markets.

The price hike is primarily driven by rising production costs. Specifically, the cost of 2GB memory modules has increased by approximately 10 percent, alongside higher expenses for third-party chip manufacturing.

Industry reports indicate that TSMC, the primary foundry for most AMD chips, raised its manufacturing quotes by about 10 percent due to escalating production costs. This shift directly impacts AMD's profit margins.

Under the new Q4 pricing strategy, AMD has updated its Suggested E-tail Price (SEP) system. Most graphics card models are affected by these adjustments, with some prices rising by as much as ¥700.
