AMD has expanded its processor lineup with the introduction of the Ryzen 5 7500 for the AM5 platform and the Ryzen 5 5500F for the AM4 socket. These additions target both current and legacy desktop configurations, maintaining a 65 W TDP for both models.

The Ryzen 5 7500 features 6 cores and 12 threads based on the Zen 4 architecture. It operates at a base clock of 3.7 GHz, boosting up to 5.0 GHz. The chip includes 38 MB of total cache and integrates an RDNA 2 graphics unit with two compute units running at 2.2 GHz.

The Ryzen 5 5500F utilizes the Zen 3 architecture with 6 cores and 12 threads. Unlike the standard Ryzen 5 5500, this variant is built on Vermeer silicon. It offers clock speeds between 3.0 GHz and 4.4 GHz and features 16 MB of L3 cache, which is half that of the Ryzen 5 5600.
