A Reddit user under the handle dannyrodriguez8 reported a fraudulent transaction on AliExpress involving a processor purchase. The customer ordered an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X from a vendor identified as SZCPU, but received a 2016-era AMD Athlon X4 with the marking AD950XAGM44AB instead.
The seller rejected the buyer's request for a full refund, offering zero Swiss francs in compensation. To support their claim, the vendor provided a video purportedly showing the packaging process of the Ryzen 9 5950X. However, the buyer noted that the video lacked continuous footage linking the specific chip to the final shipping label.
Following the transaction, the original product listing was removed from the seller's store. The buyer has initiated a payment suspension through the Klarna service while the dispute remains under review by AliExpress. The customer intends to pursue a chargeback through their bank or card issuer if the platform fails to resolve the issue.
