Alibaba Cloud has officially announced the discontinuation of its virtual human product line. The company characterizes this move as a standard strategic adjustment and product iteration process, noting that the current market for digital human solutions has reached a high level of maturity.
The company has set a clear timeline for the phase-out. New purchases of the service will be halted on November 30, 2026, though existing customers will retain access until their current contracts expire. Full termination of the service, including console access and support, is scheduled for November 30, 2027.
Alibaba Cloud advises current users to transition to alternative platforms. Recommended solutions include digital human products from Ant Group, FaceUnity, and Yizhi Intelligence. The company also urges customers requiring refunds to initiate the process before the final service cutoff date in 2027.
