Alibaba has updated its Qoder CLI tool to version 1.1.50, introducing support for custom model integration. This feature is now available to all individual users, regardless of whether they hold a free or paid subscription.
The update applies to both the international and Chinese versions of the software. Users can configure their own models by providing the API URL, model ID, and API key through the command-line interface settings.
The configuration process requires users to input the base URL, model ID, name, API key, and model capabilities. The developers recommend specifying the actual context window size for each model, though the system defaults to 128K if left blank.
Qoder CLI was originally launched by Alibaba in October 2025 as part of the broader Qoder intelligent programming platform. The tool is designed to assist developers by integrating AI capabilities directly into their command-line workflows.
