Airbus has secured an additional order for eight A350F cargo aircraft from an undisclosed client, bringing the total number of firm orders to 115. The contract was finalized in August, even though the aircraft has not yet entered mass production.

Flight testing for the new freighter is scheduled to commence on September 24, 2026. The manufacturer plans to utilize two prototypes for the testing phase. The first unit, MSN700, features a special livery and is currently preparing for its maiden flight, while the second unit, MSN701, is undergoing ground tests.

The A350F model has attracted significant interest from major carriers, including Atlas Air, Etihad, Starlux, Cathay Cargo, and Singapore Airlines. With 115 firm orders, Airbus currently leads its primary competitor, the Boeing 777-8F, which has secured 81 orders.
